We run a range of different clubs, some of which change according to the time of year. We operate a 'more the merrier' in most of our clubs, but we do ask that if a child signs up to a club, that they commit to attending every week (wherever possible). If your child is due to attend a club but cannot make it, please ensure that you let the school know.
Our Tennis club runs during the Summer term after school on Thursdays and is open to all Key Stage 2 children. Children who commit to attending regularly will be taking part in the Bridgend Tennis Festival in June!
Our Eco club runs every Wednesday after school and is open to all children from Year 2 upwards. Eco club do lots of exciting activities with recycled materials, looking after the outdoors and making sure we are an eco school.
Mixed Sports Club
Each Key Stage 2 class is taking it in turns to attend the leisure center after school on Mondays (although we also get to miss the last 15 minutes of lessons - yay). The staff in the center are teaching us the rules to lots of different sports and we get to play exciting games with our friends and use all of their cool equipment.
Busy Bess is open to our Foundation Phase children from year 1 upwards. Busy Bees takes place after school on a Monday and allows children the opportunity to take part in lots of crafty and team building activities. At the beginning of the year, children get to decide what they would like to do in Busy Bees.
Our Cross Country club takes place after school on Thursdays during the Autumn and Spring terms (before it is replaced with Tennis club in the summer). Children who regularly commit to Cross Country club are invited to take part in inter school events throughout the course of the year. This year, one of our pupils won the County's endeavor award for unwavering commitment and perseverance.
Run, Jump, Throw
In conjunction with the leisure center staff, we have run, jump, throw after school every Wednesday. We learn lots of fun games and participate in a range of team building activities. As there are limited spaces in this club, classes are taking it in turns to access it.
